ABOUT THE ART
Adrift III is a signed and numbered time-limited edition of multiprocess prints. A figure reminiscent of Ophelia from John Everett Millais's painting floats amidst a turbulent ocean, encircled by two mythical birds that create a protective ring around her. Nearby, a young boy slices through the long feathers of the phoenix with the edge of his hand, as a white rabbit watches intently.
Ever pushing the boundaries of what's possible in printmaking, Adrift III is created using the largest contiguous embossing die we have ever made by far, marking yet another innovation in the distinct multiprocess printmaking practice of James Jean and Brad Keech. The painting is enhanced in shallow relief throughout, while the floral elements are illuminated with opalescence and the dancing waves imprinted with clear and frosted foils. Delicate silver foil lines are woven throughout the piece. While the first Adrift painting is currently our most coveted edition, Adrift III is poised to become a new classic, distinguished by its refined artistry and bold innovation.
