ARTIST BIO
Chris Parks is the digital illustrator and fine artist known as Palehorse. Growing up on a steady diet of straight edge hardcore, Tampa metal bands, skateboarding and tattoo art, Chris later became formally trained in Graphic & Interactive Communication at the Ringling College of Art & Design. After graduation and 4 years of emersion into the design agency world by day and taking on freelance illustration projects for bands and action sports market companies by night, Chris took the leap to open his own studio and gallery space in 2006. With well over a decade of experience now as a professional illustrator, Palehorse creates incredibly rich and detailed work, that draws influence from his roots, combined with an ongoing fascination for Southeast Asian and Latin cultures, cultivated by travel and a love of nature, esoteric art, mythology and spiritual practice.
In addition to his screen-printed gig posters, skate decks, T-shirts and gallery artwork, the bold, colorful and intricate illustrations of Palehorse have been commissioned by companies such as: Under Armour, Nike, Mini Cooper, DC Snowboards, WWE, Hasbro, Penguin Books, Jägermeister, Bud Light, Modelo, Victoria Cerveza, Brisk Iced Tea, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Sonos, Variety Magazine, Wired Magazine and many others.
